What a great pleasure it was to boat the Middle fork with you and your crew. I cannot think of one thing more you could have done to provide better service or make the trip any more enjoyable. The Grande Ronde River is the most pleasantly surprising river trip in the West. From the swift, yet inviting Wallowa River put-in, to the large, beautiful benches of the Grande Ronde Valley, this trip is not to be overlooked. The character of the river and canyon changes each day. Make sure to look up from that fishing rod to catch a glimpse of the diverse forest and abundant wildlife. In addition, the Grande Ronde is about camping luxury — every campsite seems to surpass the previous with spacious accommodations and soothing views. Last season I worked with Hughes River Expeditions to offer a swift water safety course on the Wallowa-Grande Ronde. The river served as an ideal classroom and the Hughes experience is unmatched. I highly recommend this trip with HRE.
